Time & Date Tips, and the big question about Rain

Over fourteen years experience doing our Portraits in the Park tells us: The light is best on overcast and hazy days.

On sunny days the light is best at 9:00AM, 9:30AM, 4:00PM, 4:30PM .

The fall leaves are "usually" at their peak mid October, but last two years it was late October. However a heavy rain or wind can also effect how many leaves will be left on the trees, always a gamble and impossible to predict.

Most families spend $600 - $1500+ on their family portraits, including gift size photos for friends and family and a framed Wall Portrait. Wallets size and Christmas Cards are also popular.

YIKES RAIN!!! In the event that it is actually raining on the day of your shoot, we will call you to offer alternative dates, a postponement or a cancellation. Rain is not unusual for October so we keep a few "open" dates just in case.

The Simple Truth is... You will look better in a portrait by Spencer Studio.

Included in every portrait: Blemishes removed, lines, wrinkles, scars, or bags under the eyes reduced or removed. Teeth whitened slightly. Portrait softening if requested. Slimming poses and slim lighting if required, all at no extra charge.

"What do I do now?" you ask.

1: Phone to book your family portrait sitting date and time (emailing dates/times back and forth is slow) 613-226-2079

2: Weekend sitting fees are paid at the time of your booking. We accept cash, cheque, Interac, Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal. The retainer is non refundable and is used to guarantee your date and time. Please Note: We never hold or "tentatively" book a time or date until we receive your retainer.

3: We email out a confirming letter a week before your family portrait. It will confirm date and time, directions to the park and a list of clothing suggestions, what to wear and what not to wear for your portrait.

4: Your Video Proofs are ready in about 24 hours.

5: Your viewing usually takes 45 minutes

6: Portrait orders take about 2 weeks for packages and 4 weeks for mounted or framed portraits.
