Robin Spencer
(the one in the middle) is a Master Photographer and has won more Professional
Photography Awards than any other Nepean photographer.
It's probably safe to say he has won
more awards than all other Nepean photographers combined.
Of course claiming to be the best photographer in Nepean is like claiming to be
the best hockey player in Peru.
He has
lectured at professional photographer conventions in Canada and the USA, and has written
regular humour columns for Canadian and American professional
photography magazines.
Robin is an
expert at facial analysis, instantly finding your good side,
finding the precise camera angle to minimize a double chin or
crooked nose. Combine all that with his Photoshop
retouching skills, his advice on the best colours to choose for
portraits and knowing when and how much soft focus to use.
Robin's photography skills and his ability get the nicest
expressions have kept his clients coming back for 28 years.

Ottawa Photographer Robin Spencer is a
Master of the
Soft Focus Portrait. People often remark that his soft
focus portraits "look almost like a painting". He
has studied with his mentors, Tibor Horvath (deceased) and Bruce Hudson
(Seattle). Both master photographers are internationally famous for
their Soft Touch photography. Over the years they
have passed on their combination: Hard Light ~ Soft Lens and Soft
Light ~ Hard Lens secrets to Robin. For over twenty years
Robin has combined their styles into his own Soft, Warm and
Natural style. Recently with the help of digital and Photoshop
experts, Robin has been able to develop an incredible soft focus technique that
gives complete flexibility over the degree of softness, while still being able
to keep the eyes sharp. He uses this soft style of portraiture with
Brides, Children, Couples, Mother and Baby and Women's Portraits. His Soft, Warm and Natural photography
has consistently won awards at
Provincial, National
and International Professional Photography Competitions since 1987.
